Panasonic G X VARIO 35-100 mm f/2.8 P.O.I.S. Reviews

This is one of the most expensive lens from Panasonic designed for Micro Four Thirds format.  The focal length of this lens is probably not ideal for the most situations unless you are pairing it with another lens like Panasonic 12-35mm, another high end zoom from Panasonic release around the same time.

The optical stabilization system is tested to work very effectively, and even better than the one found in 12-35mm version. summarized the lens with the following based on its in depth testing.

  • compact, solid and small casing which doesn’t change its dimensions,
  • excellent image quality in the frame centre,
  • good image quality on the edge of the frame,
  • very well corrected chromatic aberration,
  • low spherical aberration,
  • negligible coma,
  • moderate astigmatism,
  • excellent, fast and silent autofocus,
  • very efficient image stabilization.

  • huge vignetting,
  • surprisingly high distortion at the shortest focal length,
  • work against bright light could have been better.
