Meet the Fastest Aperture Autofocusing Lens for Micro Four Thirds System

This new lens made by Panasonic under Leica brand looks amazing in its appearance as well as on the paper with it's aperture of f1.2.  It's officially called Leica DG Nocticron 42.5mm/F1.2, and it will be the brightest lens for the Micro Four Thirds system once released.

Currently the title of 'Fastest Lens' goes to another unit produced by the same brand, Leica DG Summlux 25mm/F1.4 ASPH.  42.5mm/F1.2 translates to 85mm with a near f2.5 field of view on a full frame, and it will allow you to expand your creativity for shooting in various lighting conditions.

The name 'Nocticron' has been created by Leica Camera AG in order to continue with their legendary elements of large diameter, high quality lenses.  The lens will claim another title for being the first large diameter, high performance Nocticron lens.

Based on previous Leica branded lenses from Panasonic, you can expect to see very high quality images out of this new lens and become another valuable addition to ever increasing line-up of native MFT mount lenses.  Come back soon to find out more details.
