Sony's WiFi "Lens Camera" Features 18-megapixel and 10x Optical Zoom
If you were wondering if this is a lens or camera, it is a fully functioning camera in the shape of lens minus LCD screen and storage. Sony's QX 10 surely looks like a product from a future or a prototype, but you can actually buy one today.
In order to function as a camera, framing, image review, configuration and even storage are all handled on another device: your smartphone. These "lens cameras," as they've become unofficially known, mount directly on a handset you already own, pairing with Sony's PlayMemories Mobile app via WiFi.
The absence of a display allows for a more compact body, improved power efficiency and a lower price tag. The QX10 derived from WX200 retails for $250, and its bigger brother, QX100 with essentially same sensor and lens as RX100 Mark II ($750) sells for $500.
The QX10 features an 18-megapixel Exmor RCMOS 1/2.3-inch sensor with a 10x optical zoom and Sony G lens with a built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization. Video is captured in high-definition 1080p.

If you don't want to carry a digital camera, but still want to shoot high quality photo, there is no better alternative than these Lens Cameras. Sony QX10 is available in white and black, and QX100 only in black.
