The Tiny Panasonic 12-32mm Beats Olympus 12-50mm in Image Quality

Pansonic's latest kit lens, 12-32mm, is the best standard kit zoom lens according to it producer, and they were not exaggerating based on the test result posted by M43.eu.

The only shortcoming of this small gem is the smaller focal length range on the top end, being limited to 32mm.  However, that may not be an issue for many shooters as 32mm on MFT format translates to 64mm on a full frame camera.

You can only buy Panasonic's new 12-32mm with the highly acclaimed GM1 which holds to titles for being "the world's smallest ILC and first MFT camera with electronics shutter.

The test result shows that the Panasonic 12-32mm is significantly better than Olympus top kit zoom lens, 12-50mm at one third of its size.  That's a remarkable achievement and giving Olympus something to work on for their next model.

Hopefully Panasonic 12-32mm will be available as a standalone purchase sometime soon.  Stay tuned for more update on the latest offering of MFT gears.
