Fujifilm's X-T1 with APS-C Sensor to Rival Olympus OM-D E-M1
As the market for full sized traditional DSLR shrink, major camera manufacturers are betting big on compact interchangeable lens camera systems. It's a great news for someone like me who will never buy into one of the full frame camera system for many reasons.
The year 2013 saw many amazing compact sized system cameras from companies such as Olympus, Panasonic, Nikon, Sony, and so on, primarily based on Micro Four Thirds or APS-C imaging sensors.
Fujifilm seems to targeting at the high end of the market with its upcoming X-T1. It is priced above pretty much all of its competition and it seems it's got a list of high end features and performance to justify the price.
It is expected to be released early this week, January 28th to be exact.surely. For those of you you have not read the details of the rumor, you can check it out at Fujirumors.com
X-T1 is already being compared to Olympus flagship camera, OM-D E-M1. Reported, it has a better EVF, bigger sensor for sure, and possibly shorter shutter lag. However, the most important characteristic of any camera is the image quality, and you won't have to wait too long to find out about that.
Stay tuned for more updates!
