Leaked Photos of Olympus OM-D E-M10 Surface Online
Olympus seems to be betting big on Micro Four Thirds format camera as they are preparing for a release of the successor of the benchmark MFT camera OM-D E-M5.
Thanks to the folks at Digicame-info, two photos of OM-D E-M10 under development are available for you to peek at the design of this highly anticipated camera.
The naming scheme of the new camera is somewhat odd as is jumps from '5' to '10', but nothing is official at this point as Olympus has been keeping quiet about the camera. From the photos, it looks like Olympus is keeping the same retro design of the E-M5.
There is really no reason to change the external design as it has been very well received by the majority of potential buyers, and pretty much all other major camera manufactures are following the same path.

Personally, I love the look of this camera much more than traditional DSLR design like Panasonic GH3.
According to the rumors, OM-D E-M10 will feature the best of E-M5 and E-M1 such as EVF, built-in flash, improved 16MP sensor and a TruPic VII processor. One feature that begs a question is the 3 axis stabilization instead of 5-axis system. I'm hoping the rumor is not correct on that one.
It is expected to carry a price tag of $760 for the body-only which puts it below the compact E-P5 which is a big surprise. If this camera takes pictures as good as E-M10 minus some high end but rarely used features, it will be on top of my shopping list to replace the aging E-P3 I've been enjoying for 2 years.
Stay tuned for more updates.
