Kowa to Release Three Micro Four Thirds Lenses in Summer 2014

Kowa has announced three new fast manual Prime lenses in native Micro Four Thirds format.

The lenses announced are the Prominar 8.5mm f/2.8, Prominar 12mm f/1.8, and Prominar 25mm f/1.8.

Kowa has a history of over 60 years in the optical imaging business, and the Japanese company says these new low distortion lenses employ low dispersion glass to achieve a realistic image.

The lenses are set to be released in summer 2014, and no pricing information has been released.  From the looks of it, these lenses won't be cheap. They appear to be constructed with all metal body with superior optical qualities.

If you are not a fan of manual focus lenses, you many pass on, but they sure are a great addition to ever growing number of native Micro Four Thirds lenses.
