First Glance at Kodak's 360 Degree Action Cam
Kodak is seriously back in business. The company has been making headlines with new products since 2013 since it started licensing the one of the world's most known brand name 'Kodak' to few firms.
A china-based company JK Imaging has been rolling out several interesting products such as smart lens camera and Micro Four Thirds based interchangeable lens camera called "S-1"
The "S-1" will have to face direct competition from Olympus and Panasonic, and that's inevitable when the camera is so similar in feature, form factor, price and so on.
On the other hand, this new 360 degree action camera won't have any direct competitor for a while. I'm not sure how this can can be best used and whether it can be attached on the of a helmet.
A Japan based website posted a snapshot of the packaging and this is what it says:
"Rugged, compact and ultra versatile the KODAK PIXPRO SP360 Digital Action Cam easily Mounts to helmets, boards, handle bars and just about anything else you can imagine."
That sounds like Kodak is ready to go head to head with GoPro cams. It is expected to be available later in 2014. We will keep you posted as more details become available.
