Nikon's Latest Nikon 1 V3 is a Speed Demon with 20 FPS
I know having continuous 10 fps on your camera used be something to brag about just a few year ago, even with mid range professional DSLRs. Now, Nikon breaks out with a camera that was unimaginable until now; 20 fps continuous shooting. And that is 20 fps with autofocus!
Many lower priced digital camera boast pretty high fps, but that is usually with autofocus locked in with the initial shot.
I think 20 fps really gets into the video category and not needed for most folks. I have used continuous shooting mode in various cameras, and 10 fps is already plenty fast to capture every movement. I'm sure it doesn't hurt to have 20 fps if you are shooting a bird in flight or athletes in fast motion.
There is another standout features with this camera is 720p slow motion video recording at up to 120fps and 171 "densely packed" focus points that Nikon claims give it better ability to track moving objects than DSLRs.
Looking at the specs of cameras released in 2014, they all seem to highlight almost identical features. There are two features that I'm particularity happy to see in most new cameras in the market; built-in Wi-fi and flip-out screen. Both of the features have nothing to do with the image quality but really contribute to a higher convenience level.
