Sony RX100 Mark III to Feature Pop-up Viewfinder

A page out of an official Sony camera manual leaked online yesterday, revealing that the company is indeed working on an RX100 Mark III (previously referred to as the RX200), and now sonyalpharumors has uncovered further details.

According to their source acquired by sonyalpharumors, the new camera is expected to arrive on May 1st and will be paired with the exciting new 28-100mm (35mm equivalent) f/1.8-2.8 lens and a pop-up viewfinder.

A pop-up viewfinder is probably first on any consumer camera unit, and it may be enough incentive for the current owners of RX100 Mark II to upgrade, especially when you factor in the fantastic new lens.

There are no further details available yet even though the camera is supposed to be released about a week from today.
