Budget Retro Style Mirrorless Compact by Samsung, NX3000

Samsung joins the camp of major camera manufacturers with a retro styled compact mirroless interchangeable lens camera, NX3000.

Samsung has unveiled the new NX3000 entry-level camera which will be replacing the highly rated NX2000. The updated model brings a classier design, a flip-up screen for selfie-shooting as pretty all other models from Samsung do.  It can be purchased with a newly designed 16-50 mm f/3.5-5.6 power zoom OIS lens or 20-50 mm f/3.5-5.6 that has been out for a while.

Samsung takes selfie business pretty seriously as seen in this model.  In the special selfie mode which is activated by flipping up the display all the way, you can release the shutter by a simple wink.  The LCD screen is sized at 3" with 460k dot resolution, which is in line with competing entry level models from its rival companies.

Its mechanical shutter can fire as quickly as 1/4,000-second, and the image sensor ranges from ISO 100 all the way through ISO 25600. There's no built-in flash, but a compact GN 8' flash is included with the camera. It can be mounted into the accessory shoe and doesn't require an extra battery to operate.

Images and videos are captured onto a microSD memory which some users wouldn't be happy with.  But the smaller card slot leaves more room for a big 2,330mAH battery, double the capacity of the NX300.  So you gain something that is more important for a small sacrifice in this case.

It will start shipping on June 1, 2014 in three color choices: black, white and brown.  Check back with us for the best deal on Samsung NX3000.
