Sony Alpha a7S is the First Full Frame Mirrorless 4K Camera

The Alpha a7S will be one of the best and unique mirrorless camera on the planet when it goes on sale in June 2014.   It is a remarkable technical achievement and a device that could revolutionize how filmmakers and photographers work.

The Sony Alpha a7S Mirrorless Camera features a full-frame 12.2MP Exmor CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor, enabling notable video and still image quality with an expansive dynamic range and low noise.

Along with the 35mm full-frame, Sony's newly developed ILC can do 4K video which is becoming a more common in increasing number of cameras this year.

Another incredible feature packed into this camera is its ISO range - it goes all the way up to 409600.  Not only is that beyond any camera in the current market, it's probably way more than what most photographers need.  But who wants to complain for having such a high performance in a $2,500 camera.

Check out this sample image taken at ISO 12,800.  It looks as good as ones taken at ISO 6,400 or even 3,200 from most other mirrorless compact cameras.

Sony has been expanding its line up of competent cameras all the way from budget consumer point and shoot models to Alpha product line that can go head to head with most full sized DSLRs.
