Best Superzoom Camera with 4K Video by Panasonic, FZ1000

Panasonic has been leading the way with adoption of the highest resolution video standards, 4K, in their camera, and now you will be able to capture stunning videos with its latest superzoom offering.

The company unveiled the Lumix FZ1000, a camera it describes as "the world’s first digital compact camera" to offer 4K video recording.  It will hit store shelves toward the end of July.

The FZ1000 is not really "compact" by any means, but it is comparable in size to superzoom cameras from other manufacturers such as Fuji FinePix S1 and Olympus ST-100.

The camera resembles a compact DSLR like the one by Sony, RX10 which is often considered the category winner. A versatility offered by FZ1000 is simply unrivaled when you start looking into what it can do with a price tag under $1,000

Like the RX10, Panasonic's latest features a 1-inch sensor, which the company says will help beef up low light performance. The camera's "Venus" engine also features multiple noise reduction systems to assist in this department.

The FZ1000 is mated to 25-400mm equivalent f/2.8-4.0 lens give you longer reach than Sony RX10. You're able to control that 16x optical zoom with a fine precision, owed to a 5-step speed control.

The main attraction of FZ1000 is definitely its 4K video footage.  You are limited to 30fps when recording at max resolution. However, 1080p video can be recorded at up to 60fps with support of five-axis optical image stabilization.

Panasonic FZ1000 will be one of the best Bridge/Travel camera. It will soon be available for online purchase through  You can check the exact availability through the link below.
