Olympus OM-D E-M1 Silver with 2.0 Firmware
There is no doubt that black/silver combo design make the camera look more retro and classy. Olympus has unveiled the silver version of its flagship OM-D E-M1 camera today at Photokina.
Olympus OM-D cameras have been highly successful, and well received by many professional photographers and photo-enthusiasts alike.
The company has done the same with its previous flagship model OM-D EM-5, and the silver version has been quite popular. It was actually somewhat unusual for Olympus to bright out the silver version of EM-1 this late.
Other than the color difference, the silver version is identical to the black version. It does come with the latest version of the firmware (2.0) which is being released today for the owners of the black version E-M1.
If you haven't yet, you can download the Olympus updater software to install the latest firmware for all you Olympus cameras and lenses. Yes, lenses do have their own firmware, too.
Here is the link to the Olympus page: software download page.
