Panasonic LX100 - The New King of Compact Premium Camera?

It looks like Panasonic has really supercharged LX100 with the best technology they got.  It not only comes with 4K video, but the image quality may outperform the current king of compact premium camera by Sony - RX100.

Coincidentally, the two cameras share very similar name. Perhaps, that was an intentional move by Panasonic since Sony RX100 has established itself as the benchmark in its category for quiet some time now.

Pansonic LX100 is powered by a larger sensor - Micro Four Thirds - than what's typically used in compact fixed lens cameras.  Not quite as large as the one used in RX100 by Sonce (APS-C).

The initial high ISO test by Imaging Resource shows how well LX100 performs in low light situation.  It definitely shows cleaner image at 3200 ISO when pitted against RX100.

Panasonic LX100 is available for pre-order today for $899.
