Casio Exilim EX-MR1 is Built as Selfie Camera
With the newly unveiled Casio Exilim EX-MR1, what you see is what you get! Housing a lens behind the mirror, it takes capturing selfies to a whole new level.
Casio has officially announced the Exilim EX-MR1 compact camera that is truly built ground up with optimal selfie snapshot as it primary goal.
The selfie-craze continues in Asia, so manufacturers have to give people what they want. Casio has found the perfect solution to make sure that photographers will capture the perfect selfie, which can be shared immediately on the web. That solution is called Exilim EX-MR1 and it consists of a compact camera that features a lens hidden behind a mirror.
By positioning a lens deep behind the center of the camera’s mirror-finished front body, the MR1 lets you take a selfie with your eyes naturally focused on the lens. Like holding a hand mirror, you can prepare your make-up or appearance just the way want it and take beautiful selfies.
Usually, selfie cameras have smaller mirrors or a secondary screen on the front. However, Casio says that it has developed the right combination between transmissivity and reflectivity, allowing users to see themselves in the mirror, while allowing the lens to see the subjects.
The Casio Exilim EX-MR1 also features face detection as well as Wi-Fi and automatic playback rotation that ensures the image can be viewed as large as possible on the rear screen according to the way the camera is being held.
At the core, the Casio Exilim EX-MR1 houses a 14-megapixel image sensor and a lens that offers a 35mm equivalent of 21-84mm, courtesy of a 4x optical zoom.
