Panasonic's Latest Entry Level Compact System Camera, GF7
Pansonic's GF line of compact system camera (CSC) has a quiet long history. The company designed GF7 for entry level photographers who are new to system cameras. With this latest incarnation of GF series, Panasonic developed some unique features that will excite those who love taking selfies.
The GF7 comes with complete hands-free selfie mode. In fact, there are several hands-free modes you can employee. With Face Shutter mode, waving a hand over your face will trigger the camera to take a photo, while in Buddy Shutter mode two people bringing their face together will trigger the shutter. Meanwhile, Jump Snap mode uses a wirelessly-connected smartphone to trigger the camera when you're at the highest point of a jump.
At the core of the camera, sits a 16-megapixel Micro Four Thirds sensor with similar capability to the one used in the company's flagship compact MFT model, GX7. You can be assure that GF7 can capture amazing photos. "Entry-level" in this case means lack of advanced features not a compromised image quality.
The GF7 is also packed with very capable video recording; shoots 1080p at up to 50fps in the AVCHD format with Time Lapse and Stop Motion modes. You can even change focus by touching the subject on the screen and turn on subject tracking mode. It's a perfect setup for recording a child running around or playing sports.
Panasonic GF7 is available in two colors (black and pink), and can be pre-ordered today.
