Pansonic's World First 4G Monitoring Camera

Panasonic unveiled what may end up being a Dropcam Killer, called Nubo. So what makes the Nubo so different from other excellent monitoring cameras in the market?

The Nubo doesn't rely on WiFi or Ethernet connectivity to perform its job.  It will ships with a SIM card and a 4G data plan in addition to Wi-Fi (802.11b/g/n) support. Panasonic hasn't released Nubo in the U.S. for this very reason - it hasn't signed a deal with a 4G carrier in the U.S yet.

The Panasonic Nubo practically can be placed anywhere without WiFi and power as you can connect an external USB battery.  Its built in motion detection technology negate the need for a monitoring software, and save storage space from not recording uneventful scene.

The Nubo's notification feature along with built-in speaker and microphone make this little high tech gadget a all-around winner.

It is expected to ship sometime next year for $249 which include a data starter kit.  If you don't need 4G connectivity, it will work just fine as WiFi monitoring camera.
