Sony Releases a Batch of New Lens for E-Mount
Sony announces an array of new E-mount lenses for the company's interchangeable system cameras, mostly priced above $1,000. They are all high-grade professional use equipment for suitable for various focal length.

Sony is now the leader in mirrorless system camera market, and making more lenses available for it's large selection of camera bodies is a key to its success going forward.
A new 35mm fulll-frame wide angle lens developed from Zeiss shows its bright blue logo on the outside casing, and features F1.4 aperture. The Zeiss Distagon T* FE 35mm F1.4 ZA is priced at $1,600, making it the most expensive lens among the newly announced E-mount offering.
In fact, tt’s the first E-mount lens with a a wide f/1.4 aperture. It has a nine-blade aperture and three aspherical elements, helping to deliver very sharp images. The lens is dust and moisture resistant.

According to Sony this lens is ideal for close-up and portrait photography and is optimized for video recording as well. The lens features a unique manual-to-autofocus selection using the sliding focus ring. A silent motor employed in the lens is perfect for quiet and precise operation, and optical image stabilization is also built-in. It’s also dust and moisture resistant and expected to hit the market this July with a price tag of $1,100.
