Samsung Gear 360 VR Camera Coming Soon

The much anticipated alien ship looking VR camera from Samsung is about to be unveiled in a few weeks or February 21, 2016 to be exact.

The 360-degree camera is designed in a compact spherical shape and is capable of capturing true 360-degree images using multiple pairs of fisheye lenses.

There will be a live broadcasting feature built in to this high tech gear, but we will have to wait to see if that function is locked down to Galaxy S7 smartphone only.

The Gear 360 (SM-C200) is expected to come with a built-in battery, so it does not need to be powered by external cable. Also, the device will feature a laundry list of typical features found on standard digital cameras such as HDR and white balance control.

Oh, and the recording can be switched between 180-degree and 360-degree mode.  Can this be a Go Pro killer?  It will certainly be amazing if something like this can be mounted in a car or a drone.

We are likely to to hear a full announcement and possible retail availability during Samsung’s
Unpacked event at Mobile World Congress February 21 according to SamMobile report.
